• New Works Service M1 and Works Service M2 are introduced, running Monday to Friday to St. Wulstans Hospital. Service M1 runs via Welland, Blackmore Park Road, Peachfield Road, Great Malvern Railway Station, to Barnards Green. Service M2 runs via Malvern Wells and Great Malvern to Malvern Link.

13^th January 1979

“SevernLink” Market Analysis ProjectShow All

On Saturday 13^th January 1979, Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) introduced the “SevernLink” Market Analysis Project (MAP) scheme in the Worcester, Bromsgrove and Malvern areas.

• A new network of local Malvern area services are introduced. Service 408, Service 409 and Service 410 are withdrawn and replaced in part by new Service M1, Service M2 and Service M3, running over new routes.

5^th September 1981

Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited cease tradingShow All

At the end of operations on Saturday 5^th September 1981, Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) ceased trading as a bus and coach operator. The operation of all services are divided and assumed by five new operating companies.

• Operation of local Malvern Service M1, Service M2, Service M3, Service M7, and Service M8 are passed to Midland Red (West) Limited from Sunday 6^th September 1981.
