On Saturday 16th May 1925, Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited (BMMO—Midland “Red” Motor Services) renumbered their stage carriage services into groups depending on their geographical location, stating with Service 101 and no longer using suffix letters. Route numbers 1–100 were not used to avoid confusion with Birmingham Corporation routes.

Route numbers 1–99 were not used to avoid confusion with Birmingham Corporation routes.
First Midland Red Buses Limited won several new contracts from Worcestershire County Council. Most of these were previously operated by Probus Management Limited (trading as Pete’s Travel), who withdrew from all of their contract work in Worcestershire at this time. Other contracts were won or lost from Herefordshire County Council.
