Service 300: Timetable Changes

On Saturday 16^th May 1925, Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited (BMMO—Midland “Red” Motor Services) renumbered their stage carriage services into groups depending on their geographical location, stating with Service 101 and no longer using suffix letters. Route numbers 1–100 were not used to avoid confusion with Birmingham Corporation routes.

• Service 91 running between Hereford and Ledbury, and Service 126 running between Worcester and Ledbury, are combined and renumbered to Service 300.

11^th February 1928

Route numbers 1–99 were not used to avoid confusion with Birmingham Corporation routes.

• Service 300 running between Worcester, Ledbury, and Hereford, is renumbered to Service 417.

County Council contracts changesShow All

First Midland Red Buses Limited won several new contracts from Worcestershire County Council. Most of these were previously operated by Probus Management Limited (trading as Pete’s Travel), who withdrew from all of their contract work in Worcestershire at this time. Other contracts were won or lost from Herefordshire County Council.

• Worcestershire County Council contract to operate Sunday-only “easyLink” Service 300 is passed to First Midland Red Buses Limited.
