If one zooms-in a lot, one can see, ( - just about), below the lower-deck rear window, is written (in gold) the seating capacity of the upper and lower decks.
I cannot see the point of putting this on the outside, and I cannot remember seeing this on 6046-55 and 6092-96 when new at Worcester, nor on any other buses at that time --
my guess is that it was an antiquated legal requirement, and that it disappeared during the repaints of 1968+ (?) -- any info anyone ??
ALSO, - I'm very glad that one of the neat, rectangular BMMO badges has survived and been refitted to 6015.
(My guess is these got removed for ease of repaints -?)
AND, - I believe I can remember these being fitted to 6046-55, but I'm not sure about 6092-96 (?)

Re: DD11/12/13 Questions
Unfortunately the only rear-end photo I have from that period is of 6049 in August 1968, and it's a low-resolution photo in a book, - and although it appears that the badge is probably there, even with a magnifying glass the image is fragmented and disappointing / inconclusive.

I thought I'd add one of my photos to show that various body makers were still adding a Daimler badge in that same position in the mid 70s.DD12 wrote: ↑21:05 Tuesday 29th June 2021Unfortunately the only rear-end photo I have from that period is of 6049 in August 1968, and it's a low-resolution photo in a book, - and although it appears that the badge is probably there, even with a magnifying glass the image is fragmented and disappointing / inconclusive.
This is 440 when brand new, at Heath Hayes depot.
