37 New livery Oct.2019
The route 37 buses should be carrying something like this as many passengers not on line and didn't know about the threatened withdrawals until I mentioned it coming home from dentist on the bus yesterday, then all hell broke loose with very angry pensioners!

Here's a link to a new initiative by the Worcester Bus Users Forum, who will be at Angel Place on Saturday.
The continuing downward spiral of bus services is very depressing for us older enthusiasts,
and it's a bitter irony for me that the Ombersley Road service is under threat (despite new housing at the upper end) whilst 6015 is being restored at Padmore Street -- --
-- I grew up living near the New Inn, and the Ombersley Road had "DD12s" running every 15 minutes during the day !

Re: 37 New livery Oct.2019
I used to visit a school friend who lived almost opposite the Green Lane terminus when we both attended Claines Junior School. I can therefore confirm that City service buses were running up Ombersley Road 65 years ago and probably since the introduction of petrol engined single deck buses which replaced the electric trams in 1928 that terminated by the Vine Inn and Northwick Cinema. I have already sent.a detailed e-mail to my local City Councillor last week and received a promise that the cuts and threats of total withdrawal will be discussed by other members of the particular political party on both City and County Councils.
I also wonder how the running costs of those Citaros compares with Solos, Darts and E200s, but guess fuel consumption and maintenance costs per mile will be a lot higher,. adversely affecting the break even number of passengers per trip.
Some passengers wondered why an hourly frequency service hadn't been tried on Saturdays before withdrawing the buses completely, I don't have an answer, do you?
