HA9483 SOS CON

Post by AdamH » 16:51 Sunday 4th August 2024

I've just seen photos on Social Media of unrestored SOS CON with registration HA9483 parked at the Transport Museum, Wythall. Since starting my new job, almost 3-years ago now, I've not been keeping up to date with happenings there, so this was a bit of a surprise.

Anyone able to bring me up to date on how this has suddenly reappeared on the scene?

I believe it was owned by the Digbeth S12 (3750) Group and kept in storage in a barn, possibly in deepest Warwickshire for over half a century, possibly longer and has been donated to the Transport Museum by Ken Jubb. I don't think there are any plans to restore it for some time yet as there are so many other expensive major restoration projects on the go at present. This link to Transport museum website gives a potted history;

Thanks Tim, I've updated the website database with the known information.
