FMR: Refurbs and Repaints

Is there a chance that 66691 will be painted red and be the next Midland Red heritage Bus as we will be loosing 67664 as mentioned elsewhere before? I know Matt W would be very happy if that was to happen!

It's a shame though because the current 'urban 1' livery quite suits 66691 in my opinion (couldn't they repaint the worse looking barbie's first...)

66691 was back in service yesterday, at Crowngate -- in the now standard (for First Midlands) three-section (urban 2 ?) livery.
It appears that the seats have not been re-trimmed - which is a shame - but the red seats and yellow stanchions, make for a very colourful vehicle !

I took it to Ledbury on the 418 Saturday evening. Still smelt of fresh paint inside! Mentioned it to the MD when I saw him at Tamworth and he asked if the seats had been done, which kinda implies they will be at some point.

66696 is due back next.

I was in 33404 but all the pickers had gone home on an earlier bus and 66691 was in Crowngate as spare. Seemed like a perfect chance to get photos while the paint was still wet!
