Service 246: Timetable Changes

On Saturday 23rd November 1985, Midland Red (West) Limited replaced all Worcester City Local bus services (using “Wâ€-prefix route numbers, first introduced in 1928) with a new Worcester Citibus network of services operated with high-frequency Mercedes-Benz L608D minibuses. On the same date there are a number of significant service changes throughout the operating area.
- Service R19 is withdrawn and partly replaced by new Service 246.
- New combined timetable for Service X8, Service 246, Service 247, Service 248 and Service 249 group of routes.

Birmingham, Black County and Solihull Network changesShow All
From Sunday 28th April 1991, a large number of service changes are made to Midland Red West services in the Birmingham and Black Country areas due, in part, to Centro contract changes.
- Birmingham Local Service 246 between Dudley and Stourbridge is withdrawn by Midland Red West and replaced by other operators.
22nd September 2002
- Evesham to Studley section of Service 146 is withdrawn and partly replaced with new Service 246 and Service 247, which are inter-worked to provide and hourly frequency between Evesham and Redditch.
15th September 2003
- Service 246 Evesham to Redditch journey departing at 07:15 on Mondays to Saturdays now departs at 07:10 and runs 5 minutes earlier throughout journey.
