Saturday 31 May 2014 saw a special event to Mark 85 years of Cheltenham District Traction and the retirement of Stagecoach West Managing Director Mr Ian Manning. A number of preserved buses ran on stage carriage services between Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury as per photographs below.

Some pure nostalgia here. Many thanks for sharing this fine collection.

Great shots Tim. The shots in Gloucester bus station couldnt be taken now either!
Re: Retirement event 31 May 2014
I remember the old Gloucester Bus Station from when I used to drive the 372/3 route from Worcester. It was closed in October 2018, so I never drove in there for Stagecoach as I started with them in January 2019. When I left Stagecoach in June 2020, the old bus station was simply a huge mount of rubble that was once the multi-story car park.

I used to have to meet NatEx coaches there in the dead of night. Great place to wait with random homeless, kids and drunks with no facilities for drivers.
