New Driver Trainers
New Driver Trainers
It is reported that there is a refurbished Volvo B7RLE driver training vehicle due for Worcester! Presumably this will mean the end of the road for 60340 & the new B7RLE will work alongside 60311 in the training department.
Mr E said on a Facebook post that "At the moment it’s two for Leicester, two for Potteries and one for Worcester. Five for South Yorkshire are due to be started at Thornton’s of Ashington the week after next."
Here is link to the picture shared my Nigel of two examples parked up at what looks like Leicesters depot. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=121 ... 2567578502

Here is a picture of one the new Driver Trainer B7RLEs
Re: New Driver Trainers
One is on the patch at WR today, - repainted but devoid of any decoration.
I THINK it's 66845, but I could only just see part of the registration plate.
Assuming it's to stay with WR, is this the first time ever that we've got a training vehicle newer than some of our service buses ??
Also, presumably , the two at Leicester will have to be upgraded to Euro6 soon (?).

As it stands Potteries have got 66805 and Leicester have 66838 & 66841.
It's certainly astonishing that WR currently has 17 regular service buses (19 if you include the 2 B7Ls on loan) that are older than our proposed new training bus, which are usually the oldest vehicles in any fleet!

Here are a couple of photographs of 66845 MX05 CGU on Worcester Padmore Street 'patch' and reproduced by kind permission of my friend Bob Hemming a rail enthusiast who takes shots of buses for yours truly whenever he walks along Pheasant Street!DD12 wrote: ↑15:32 Tuesday 27th October 2020One is on the patch at WR today, - repainted but devoid of any decoration.

Re: New Driver Trainers
A touch of Salt Road livery at the rear ??
Re: New Driver Trainers
For the sister training vehicles at Leicester there is a touch of the new 'Saffron' (88s) livery too, with the big yellow front! Still, a lovely livery no matter what
