The lower front panel of 33403 looks a bit odd in your photo
It's open so isn't at the correct angel.

At Worcester depot today...
64042 (LK08 FNL) and 64045 (LK08 FME) both in "Nimrod" livery.
Also 64033 (LK07 CCF) in something else livery
Many thanks for the info. Was there not some speculation time back about another bus being painted in "Midland Red" livery ??

Is the "sumthing else" livery, it's un-repainted blue livery ?
Looks a bit like this...
Is 64033 painted in a darker (sort of navy) blue? If it is I am trying to figure out what route/s it is intended for...

I would guess that the blue livery is the one it carried when at it previous depot.

This is what it is...
Link to .pdf file. However, this plan was sent to me in August and it's clear that since then there has been a few modifications, with the text from the side now moved to above the windows. See photograph below, which was taken today. I'm guessing that is to allow room for advertising.

Does anyone actually read those graphics? As long as it turns up when it's supposed to, I'm not sure a 'War & Peace' style explanation is necessary

Oh WOW! Now that was unexpected!
Thanks Adam! I really like the idea of having a spare bus and it's a nice touch to be in it's own livery and a sort of explanation as to what it is! However, I have to agree with Matt that it does seem a bit over the top considering passengers don't take as much notice as us bus enthusiasts!
I have a feeling that the 'Spare Bus' will be used on pretty much any routes not just the 'Salt Road' (depending on which buses are off the road!)

I did not realise that the Mercedes were eco-friendly enough to work to Brum.

I'm glad you have raised that point!
(I completely forgot about the Birmingham low emissions thing) You are probably correct unless they have or will be upgraded to Euro 6... I would imagine that the newer (07/08 plate) Mercedes are fitted with either Euro 4 or Euro 5 engines currently
