Re: 44594 repainted.
As far as I can recall, Padmore Street never had a spray booth, all repaints used to be done a Carlyle Road Central Works in BMMO Midland Red days. Preparation for repaints was done at Worcester and there has always been an accident repair facility including some heavy major repairs in the past. Replaced panels were / are repainted by hand and dried out using high intensity spot lamps. I believe one of the Leyland Leopard coaches was cut down and converted to a towing wagon on site under the guidance of Arthur Mansell many years ago. Probably 5824 reg. no. GHA 324D converted to tow truck 03/78 at Worcester garage and renumbered 2060 with Midland Red West circa 1986 and re-registered Q141 VOE 01/88.

From observations, walking past the garage, 34808 appeared to me be repainted entirely in the garage.
During that same period of time, we had some ex-London dual-door single deckers that had extensive re-panelling etc done in the garage -- there's a SLIGHT chance one or two MIGHT have been completely repainted here (??)

In Midland Red West days the Worcester minibuses that had advertising liveries were hand painted which was usually done in the old drill hall extension at Redditch depot. (which is now a car park) where the S12 3750 was stored for many years

And before that, in the dim and distant past, as kids a couple of friends and I used to travel by bus to Bearwood garage where just around the corner from one of the entrances we could catch a glimpse of the latest brand new D9 being hand sign written with adverts - that is if we were lucky enough not to be noticed by the garage foreman! From memory I seem to remember double-deckers only in this bay, including repaints of older vehicles requiring sign writing.
