Worcester's Solos

Post by AdamH » 18:59 Saturday 9th December 2023

Does Worcester still run Optare Solos? If not, where (and when) did they go?

Thanks.

There have not been any Solos used for some time now , not sure of the exact dates. I am not sure if there are any Solo's left rotting away on the patch either. It also looks like the Citaro's and Centro's are slowly diminishing too. ;)

Out of interest I had a look in my old notes and found these.

53044/47/48/49/50 disposed June 2019
53051 disposed August 2019
53061/62 disposed January 2022
53065 disposed March 2023
53207 disposed December 2022
53802 disposed March 2023

My notes are not clear about 53155 being a Worcester bus but if so it was disposed in July 2020.

I used to quite enjoy driving the Solos.
Just like a big car really, small size and the car-like gar selector plus the small-ish steering wheel and they would shrink around the driver nicely.
