WR DDs !

Post by DD12 » 18:59 Tuesday 29th August 2023

The official list of First's transfers, and vehicles in and out, - that appears on the wmbusphotos website, has just been updated (but is correct to 23rd August) :-

It shows that 35152 - 55 are WR.

The national First fleet list on bustimes.org also shows 35168 as being First Worcestershire, but the info on that site has been very changeable.

If correct, that would give us 9 streetdecks, with 9 being our total of DDs in the last school-year.
- If we start September with more than 9 DDs in use, I shall be pleased, but the total could go down "sooner or later" !

If the information given to bmmoboy about repaints into a new livery is still correct,
we will need at least one extra DD to cover, - perhaps starting next week - with the new bus graph (?)
:)

Interesting info, thanks Andrew !!

Of course by now someone at First may have conceded that it's too risky to send them long distances under their own steam, and flat-out, so this one might NOT be broken !!

We may need an extra Decker, as all 45s should be operated by deckers.

On bustimes.org (!) - the operating unit for 35168 has been changed from First Worcestershire, to First Bristol, Bath, and the West.

That's a real disappointment to me ! ( Sad, aren't I  )

It has been mentioned a couple of times on Facebook, and is awaiting a "new" engine.

I have also read on Facebook that there is a long wait for them and that they are expensive !

Thanks DD12. I've managed to avoid becoming a Face booker or a Twitterite but it seems that 'normal' ways of finding things out are getting rare . :o

It is awaiting the special touch of MechWR26, but unfortunately he has gone on holiday (for six months), so it may be some time before it hits the road!
