I'll second that, an excellent record for those who, like me, couldn't make it this year. I particularly like that half-cab Foden coach and the 1950's Plaxton coach in blue and grey just in the shot of Johnsons new Enviro 200. Any idea what chassis it uses?

Thanks for clarifying the make of the coach. Foden buses and coaches were rare even when in production just after World War II.

Everton of Droitwich had two for a time running in attractive cream and red livery;

JAB 692 a 1949 PVSC6 chassis with front mounted Gardner 6LW engine and half-cab C33F Metalcraft body.
KUY 536 a 1952 PVRF6 chassis with rear mounted Foden two-stroke engine and C41C Metalcraft body.

Everton also owned HUY 488 a rare 1949/50 Maudslay Marathon III with full fronted Metalcraft C33F body. I believe it had an AEC 7.7 litre engine.

A little later this company ran three or four Duple bodied Commer Avenger coaches with Rootes TS3 two-stroke engines. Later deliveries included AEC Reliances with Duple and Plaxton bodies. They also operated three Gardner 6LW powered Guy Arab half-cab coaches, acquired with takeover of Ward of Bromsgrove (if memory serves me right!).

I was about 5 years too young to enjoy the best of Everton's coaches, but I was lucky enough to have had a walking holiday in the lake district when I was a very young member of a church youth club.
One evening, a few of us were on board the Everton's coach, inventing + telling ghost stories and the like, when the coach chassis + components started to emit eirie , ghostly sounds, and the bodywork started creaking, so we
RAN LIKE HELL !!
