Visiting Buses at Worcester
Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester
It's interesting to me, Matt, to see the DD being cannibalised -
someone has even stolen the "President" badge off the back, and I'll be interested to see how much it gets stripped down !
I believe I've seen plenty of withdrawn single-deckers, lightly cannibalised in the MRW / First years, but I cannot remember seeing any of our DDs losing anything more than an engine -
- Even in the Midland Red era.
(Or perhaps someone could refresh my memory ?)

Matt, What makes you think that?
33039 was parked there too until a few days ago, but it was re-registered yesterday as it's being reinstated for rail replacement work

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester
They must be desperate.
Mind you those Presidents gave you extra time in bed as you could have a shower in the cab when you got to work.

The Eclipse that has recently arrived from First PMT is 66963 (KX05MHZ).
Certainly no stranger to Worcester as she was transferred from Northampton Transport in April 2006 before passing to Leicester Citybus in August 2007.

Not so Barbie anymore though.

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester
These are in my opinion still the best vehicles we have had at Worcester. They were an absolute joy to drive. That photo of 66963 in Worcester is now over 10-years old so I guess they won't be as good as I remember them now.
Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester
Yes, it is a runner but not very well. Stoke engineers have just about given up on it and started raiding it for parts. However, it is now at Worcester for an engine rebuild and to have all the missing parts replaced.
Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester
32057 has appeared at Worcester...
Reason unknown at the moment but it has been parked alongside 66963 in the rebuild area!

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester
It would appear 32057 has been sent to Worcester to act as an engine donor to 66963. This is a decision clearly made by a manager and not an engineer as they don't have the same engine type...
