I remember seeing the video at the time but had no idea it had been saved and rebuilt. Does anyone know the date it returned to service?

It certainly makes more sense as 53041 is older than any of the current solo's at WR, (I'm glad the engineers were also not happy with that idea) Also, sounds like 33043 will be put to good use when it departs Worcester which is good to hear!AdamH wrote: ↑20:35 Thursday 8th November 2018Update... There has been "a dramatic U-turn" regarding 53041, and it will no longer be coming to Worcester. The new plan is to keep 53062 on the road at Worcester. The engineers were not happy with the idea of it coming back and I think they ganged up on their manager!
While it's certainly good for the garage that it won't be coming back, it was always a bit of an oddball in the fleet, so the enthusiast in me kinda liked it .
Also, I have had a reply from Nigel about 33043... It seems it will be used by a homeless shelter in the Manchester area.
I like that a lot !
I'm glad I'm not the only one who is wondering what will happen (in terms of buses/routes) when the new Station opens. Is it still scheduled for an 'Early' 2019 opening?Charliedaffin wrote: ↑15:59 Wednesday 14th November 2018Ok, I’m just gonna throw this out there, will we be getting new buses to operate a possible route to the new train station
Have any of the train operating companies, other than GWR, actually committed themselves yet to stopping their trains there or will it suffer the same fate as the new £20million station at Bromsgrove? When the latter was planned, all sorts of possibilities were envisaged (through trains to Plymouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow etc perhaps). Now, other than those on the Cross City line, there are fewer destinations than there were before as the handful of Cross Country trains don't stop there any more!! Plenty of buses serve it but many don't need to stop there due to a lack of passengers.willr7 wrote: ↑19:34 Wednesday 14th November 2018I'm glad I'm not the only one who is wondering what will happen (in terms of buses/routes) when the new Station opens. I share your views on these new stations, except that Bromsgrove now has four trains an hour to New Street and still retains its hourly connection to Droitwich, Worcester and Hereford. However, I am appalled that none of the CrossCountry trains are calingl since the electrified service came on line.chason wrote: ↑09:15 Thursday 15th November 2018Have any of the train operating companies, other than GWR, actually committed themselves yet to stopping their trains there or will it suffer the same fate as the new £20million station at Bromsgrove?
