Here are some pictures taken at The Bus Museum, Wythall on Monday 27 August 2018; you have seen most of these before, so it more of a record of the vehicles on show and giving rides for the many enthusiasts who attended this event day.
Rare Volvo B10 with Plaxton Bustler bodywork ex Harris Bus of Grays.
FFY 402; the Museum's Southport Corporation open top Leyland PD2/3 new 11/47 and modified to open top c. 1962/3. It has Leyland O30/26R bodywork.
Lovely pre-war c.1937 Austin Seven Ruby on display, note how small and narrow it is compared with modern day 'city cars' Top speed is 52 MPH according to one website.

Did the LD8 give rides Tim ?
I've yet to get a ride on one, and I'd better hurry-up while it's roadworthy, and before I kick the bucket !

Yes, 4031 was on the road giving rides to The Maypole and back and I managed a ride which brought back memories of these buses working the 144 (especially on the Saturday 15 minute frequency services) and on the 159 from Birmingham to Coventry. This bus is immaculately presented, both inside and out and runs very well too; many thanks to the 1685 Group members who spent years bringing it up to the very high standard we now see and experience.
