Showing my age somewhat by the wordplay in the thread title but I noticed Redditch's V540ESC working a 247 to Evesham this afternoon and thought what a nice ride to be had on this scenic route. Upstairs of course ! ! :)

YES ! - I tried this DD ride shortly before First sold Redditch to Diamond, and was surprised this springtime to see Diamond still using a DD, now that they have halved the number they've got.
(It looked quite smart too).
Quite a few of today's bus operators need to drink a pint of "Double-Diamond"
- us older blokes know what the result would be !!
