The 50th Final Showbus with a good turn out with Stagecoach West Heritage Vehicles and Midland Red West Plaxton Paramount along with a few others
Showbus 50 The Final one
Re: Showbus 50 The Final one
Thanks for posting these excellent photographs. Shame it was the final Showbus event.
Particularly like AEC RT113 Reg. No. FXT 288 new March 1940 with LPTB (London Passenger Transport Board) H30/26R bodywork built at Chiswick. It differed in a number of ways to the post-war RT's and is instantly identifiable by the sloping bottom windscreen profile. Note it only has one headlight, presumably in wartime configuration with the white leading edge of the front mudguards?

Nice to see you felt PO12HTC was good enough for a photo. I took that out on the official company photo shoot on the day it came out of the paint shop, and some of my photos were used in the CBW story about it.
Re: Showbus 50 The Final one
A great selection of photographs - well done.
I didn't get round all the vehicles as they were so spread out so I didn't see many of the ones above, including Adam's favourite, so thank you for filling the gaps for me.
Nice to see that you have included 1006....
