Re: Johnson sold to Diamond
I see that Diamond's 150 operates over a rather different route in Redditch to Johnsons' 150 - via Woodrow, Alexandra Hospital and Mappleborough, instead of Church Hill and Moons Moat.

Some pictures of Diamond Streetdeck 40725 just after it arrived in Crowngate bus station today 12 May 2022.
The large area of white in the foreground of the last shot is the roof of a bus.Re: Johnson sold to Diamond
Thanks for the photos Tim !!
I caught this bus yesterday lunchtime from the London Road to Inkberrow to view the English countryside at it's best (despite low rainfall) and the current timings allow you to spend more than an hour in one of the two pubs, - very nice !!
(Good friendly driver too !!)
(The lack of tree-fenders for the front upper deck will be regretted, later !!)

Currently on the 14:15 149 from Redditch to Worcester (13th May). Only passenger on from Redditch bus station. Seems to have been the same vehicle allocated to the 149 all week I think.
Re: Johnson sold to Diamond
Whilst the transfer of vehicles from Johnson's to Diamond was made over the weekend of the 28th and 29th May with first appearing on Saturday afternoon at Redditch the last actual service run by Johnson's was the Sunday only X50 from Chipping Norton to Birmingham. on the 29th May. They used vehicles that were not moving to Diamond in the shape of the newer E20 single decks YW68OVV is seen on the first departure from Chipping Norton

Re: Johnson sold to Diamond
I saw Enviro 200 YW68 OVX in Shirley on the last X50 to Birmingham, and unless it was unexpectedly replaced before the end, it would have been the final Johnsons bus in service.
Re: Johnson sold to Diamond
Today I've been in the North East corner of Gloucestershire removing the Johnsons name from bus stop timetables. Got these two photos while I was there...

Looks like Adam could be travelling around the North East corner of Gloucestershire again soon.
Diamond have deregistered all of its Warwickshire tendered services after 23 July, including most of the services taken over from Johnsons at the end of May. Stagecoach are taking over all of them, except that two Stratford town services will be operated jointly by Stagecoach and A&M Group.
The Sundays-only X50 Birmingham - Stratford - Chipping Norton will be split and Stratford and northern part will run as X20 to Solihull instead of Birmingham. This will finally bring the link between Birmingham and Stratford to an end.

Re: Johnson sold to Diamond
It didn’t take them very long to fall out with Warwickshire Council!
Stagecoach Midlands (aka Midland Red South) have picked up the emergency contract to run the cancelled contracts so it wont directly effect me at Stagecoach West, but as I typically work one day a week on loan to Gloucestershire County Council, I may well end up covering the bits that cross the boarder.
We have some updates in the Banbury area in late August, and I’ve suggested we contact Midlands to offer to updated their routes in the town at the same time, but I’ve not been in the office for a while so I don’t know the outcome of that yet.
