Spotted: Wythall Land Rover broken down

I was heading home from Silverstone today and I spotted the ex-BMMO Land Rover that now lives at Wythall stranded on the hard-shoulder at the side of the motorway.

I’ve a bit of a soft spot for old Land Rovers so I hope it wasn’t anything serious.

It had been to a Land Rover event at Gaydon for the weekend (including towing a 'stricken' LD8 around the arena a few times!), behaved perfectly but on the way home the relatively new fuel pump died. Recovered back to Wythall by 6.45pm and is in the sick bay awaiting delivery of a new pump (tried the old trick of hitting the pump but that didn't work!).
