2020 Arrivals and Disposals
Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals
Thanks for the info . Will have to check the 144/144a. I can just see the top of the roof on [single deck] buses on the 144a from my bedroom window !! !!
Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals
63364 and 63366 have gone to Leicester, which is why 64034 and 64038 are being used before repainting.
Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals
With regards to the Citaros, I have been told that the new livery for Malvern services, "Spa" has been rejected. Apparantly the blue livery is too close to Diamonds colours and could cause confusion (the number of different liveries used by Diamond causes enough confusion anyway!). Might I suggest a red livery, possibly with cream relief and a black skirt.
Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals
Does that mean the "brand", SPA, has been rejected too -- -- I hope !!bmmoboy wrote: ↑09:07 Friday 13th March 2020With regards to the Citaros, I have been told that the new livery for Malvern services, "Spa" has been rejected. Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals
When I was a child I used to see Green Line "buses" when I went to visit relatives.
Ever since, I've fancied that livery / colour and identity for the Malvern service, -- however a lot of businesses use that name, and it has already been used here for the Dines Green service !!

manages to get a ride on her today! she is so much nicer than the other citaros we recieved
Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals
Thanks for the pictures, this bus looks good inside, but the seat spacing needs to be much better than the ones previously allocated - as mentioned before I am unable to fit my 6 foot frame into many seats on the low-floor section because of insufficient knee-room! Also hope the ceiling panels, doors and shock absorbers don't rattle loudly like the OIG registered rubbish! I can hear them clattering all the way down Grange Avenue when they work 37s past my house.Charliedaffin wrote: ↑14:06 Friday 13th March 2020manages to get a ride on her today! she is so much nicer than the other citaros we recieved

By coincidence I heard something rattling along Grange Avenue a little earlier and at
09-54 lo and behold, 64034 came along Grange Avenue on the 37 with staccato noises from the suspension - definitely a MERCEDES CLATTERO just like the rest!

Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals
I drove 64034 on Tuesday and it was a pleasure to drive. Having done 953,000km (around 620,000 miles), it rattled far less than a StreetDeck with 180,000 miles on the clock. With the wood effect flooring, I heard several passengers say "Ooh look, we have got a new bus with a wooden floor - lovely". The luggage racks are still in place, thus reducing seating capacity by 3 or 4 seats, not sure when these will be removed. I think that the spa livery should be as 64034 or 38, but with the front painted a bright red (not that magenta crap like the rest of the fleet)
