Saw Duchess of Sutherland on the last two days of her tour round the country. Steam all the way to Penzance is a rarity at the moment, but with a day's gap in the schedule and the assistance of 47802, she was taken back up to Plymouth to be turned on the triangle.
Thursday evening, the Duchess heads down the bank from Treverrin tunnel to Par followed shortly after by the class 47.
Then early this morning I was just east of Lostwithiel station. I thought I'd made a mistake here as the train was due to be looped to let a service train pass, but as that was running late they let the Duchess have her head

Re: Duchess in Cornwall
Thanks Matt for posting excellent pictures; good to see steam down in Cornwall!
6233 'Duchess of Sutherland' ran through Bredicot with support coach on Tuesday 26 April 2022 on its way from York to the Barry Tourist Railway in preparation for the Cardiff to Penzance part of Great Britain XIV on Thursday 28 April 2022. Also at Bredicot the following;
Tesco's Daventry to Wentloog train supplying Wales with groceries every day. A Class 73 in Network Rail livery running light engine from Derby to Bristol Temple Meads. Voyager working from Edinburgh to Bristol Temple Meads 170 unit working from Nottingham to Cardiff. Finally the regular Corby to Margam steel empties working.

Re: Duchess in Cornwall
Nice one Tim. Bredicot is still a great shot, I always tended to head down Ashchurch way from home if shooting on that line. Great to see 6233, I'm hoping if the group that has been formed to get the St Blazey turntable going is successful we'll see more steam down here.
