Possible Non-Runners (?)
Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)
I had 35157 on the 365 tonight and just as I approached the bus stop at Hanley Road it totally died on me. No engine, no electrics, and thus no power steering either. With the aid of momentum and gravity I guided into the layby with the old BMMO shelter, and that's as far as we got.
With the motorway closed and Worcester at a stand still it took over an hour for the Engineers to get to me, so as you can imagine neither the 32 or the short-working 144 to Droitwich after that ran tonight.

Very "En-saddening !"
Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)
Sorry if my post above looks flippant, and even-more stupid than my other ones.
- I think it's tragic that with all the other problems a bus operator has to contend with, - very expensive, almost new vehicles are breaking-down !
- it's the last thing that FMR needs.
It's imperative for Wrightbus get all the problems with their recent vehicles sorted.
I would like to see Alexander-Dennis produce their own version of the StreetDeck, and built to the same quality standards that are required to sell buses into the U.S.A.

Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)
I saw 35157 earlier on a x50! Is this a regular thing?
Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)
I don't think this is regular. It was off the road yesterday morning waiting parts, then arrived in the bus station in the mid afternoon as a spare bus. The engineer who bought it down was one of the ones who came to my rescue the previous evening, so I asked about it and was assured it was fixed and fit for service.
I would guess the X50 was delayed for some reason so the spare bus was used to get things back on time for the next journey.

Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)
It was heading back in to Worcester at Whittington roundabout at 1930.
Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)
No problem mate. I should have said in my first post but I wanted to get the fact recorded in case I forgot to do it later
I must admit when I first saw it and the X route number the first thing that went through my mind was the rugby workings - I really didnt expect to see a decker on the normal Evesham run.

Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)
First Midland Red is still missing off the 16.45 - 32 from Crowngate to St.Peters, and the return journey - where abut five people at the bus stops were waiting, but that dwindled to just one remaining (this afternoon).
