It would make sense as it would be silly to repaint the front in the old livery...
"along the Salt Road" !
Re: ...... "along the Salt Road" !
There are still a number of old style bus stop signs waiting to be replaced. Three are in Broad Street Bromsgrove.
Re: ...... "along the Salt Road" !
Is there any sign of increased ridership yet ? -- I know it's a bit early to ask, and I guess the period leading up to Xmas could help generate this.
-- just gaining a small increase in % of journeys undertaken along this corridor ( - including some currently done by car ), could be (very) profitable, I think, and the "Salt Road" service/ promotion makes a very interesting comparison to the truncated Johnsons Birmingham service that is currently being discussed on this forum.
Although the imminent improved train service, north of Bromsgrove may have a negative effect, the Birmingham LEZ from 2020 should help (a lot?)
I like the new feature of having a dedicated driver rota, and I think THAT and the Volvo single-deckers could help with time-keeping.
Does anyone know of any further developments / promotions yet ?

A further new (relevant) variation of what is happening in Britain's second city http://www.route-one.net/articles/Bus_r ... _operation
P.S. - Can anyone tell me if the "Salt Road" service still has it's dedicated rota of drivers, - or did that change with the the September 17th reorganisation ??

Re: "along the Salt Road" !
The Green Volvos have been disappearing up to Birmingham one at a time to have work done. 69451 came back last night and another went in its place. I assume this is to have the Euro6 conversion work done.
Re: "along the Salt Road" !
Has WX59BZO got onto the route yet ?
Re: "along the Salt Road" !
Apparently it has come down from Thorntons, - but it might be in Birmingham, having work done -- or in Worcester garage ??

Re: "along the Salt Road" !
Saw a Salt Road Volvo struggling north on the M5 earlier - probably trying to avoid the traffic caused by the closure of the M40 all day and get to Birmingham to attempt a right-time departure for Worcester.
Re: "along the Salt Road" !
Just taken 69453 to Bromsgrove, it has a TV screen and the beginnings of route display. Maybe this one has been to Bham for modifications already?
Possible they're going for full next stop announcements.

Re: "along the Salt Road" !
Worcestershire County Council are paying for all of them to be fitted with the next stop announcement system, and I believe one vehicle is fully working as a test subject. Not sure which one it is though!
