Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions
5 Citaros noted today, 64035 which I believe hasn’t worked yet, with an engineer passed through Crowngate before disappearing, presumably back to depot. 64021/45 on 35 as they should be, plus 64013 on there and 64018 on 33. Some photos attached below - 64035 at Crowngate and 64021/18, 64013 and 64045 at Warndon, Cranham Parade.
A job well done by Thornton’s on these otherwise elderly vehicles (the OIGs/021 anyway!) and hopefully Worcester can get some good use out of these.
Don’t think I have ever rode the 144 in its entirety until today and was very impressed with the performance of the Volvos. Here’s to hoping that the spare Citaros get used on there sometime in the future

Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions
I saw 'Spare bus' 64035 on the 144A in Bromsgrove at about 17.30 today. Presumably these won't be able to run full 144 as not Euro 6 or have some had/due to have the upgrade?
Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions
Saw one of the 'OIGs' on a 44 in Malvern around 1730 last night.
Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions
Just noted 64035 and 64013 on 144a workings in Bromsgrove.
Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions
Had 64012 on 1700 Catshill tonight, whilst coming back, one of the spare bus liveried Mercedes which had made it all the way to Birmingham was in front of me

I have not seen a Citaro reach Evesham yet, but I thought it might be a timely reminder that these are not the first Citaro's to be operated by the FMR. Pictured is one of the Warwickshire funded Citaro's doing the 540 Service between Evesham and Cheltenham , which was at the time run by First , after the closure of Boomerang Bus Co.
Not sure Warwickshire Council would have appreciated their buses doing services in Worcestershire AND Gloucestershire.
