Re: Gaydon Buses Festival 2016
Three buses from FMR will be heading to Gaydon tomorrow. Alas 67647 will not be making it's first public outing in Urban2 livery as planned because it isn't back from the paint shop yet, so Volvo 66692 will be taking it's place. The line up, cleaned and ready to go... A few more photos of the Gaydo...

Re: FMR Service Changes September 2016
Yet there are ten buses in each direction on Sundays! I have uploaded to 36/36A timetable to this website to make easier comparisons between days. Link I am very pleased that the Sunday 36A arrangement hasn't been knocked on the head, I try to promote it wherever possible to residents living North ...

Re: FMR Service Changes September 2016
No, all journeys run the same way to the hospital and it is an hourly frequency. Link to Timetable . That is much worse than I had envisaged, incredible that there will only be 5 buses in each direction along Bilford Road with nothing in the peak period. I remember when the 36 and 38 services opera...

Re: FMR Service Changes September 2016
OK, all the necessary paperwork has been filed in all the right places so I'm free to post a summary of the changes here. I don't have copies of the timetables yet. Service 36 Route extended to Worcestershire Royal Hospital during off-peak hours only. New timetable with hourly frequency. Whilst dri...

Re: Withdrawn Coach 20201
It depends on which rail company and how far they have to go. London Midland tend to be shorter journeys and they tend not to mind buses being used. They even requested double-decks for the recent Foregate Street to Droitwich Spa contract, for example. First Great Western ask for coaches irrespecti...

Re: What Chassis Is This?
One for the true Midland Red experts... I was sent this photograph some time ago of a BMMO chassis and it's puzzled me as to which model it was from. The "SOS" radiator would suggest it is pre-war, but the under-floor engine layout is clearly post-war. An early S6 maybe but with an older ...

Re: April 2016 Service Changes
I drove past the new estate at Bevere today for the first time for ages - has the 37 had much extra takeup? Surprisingly I’ve only operated two journeys on the 37 since it started. There simply aren’t any on our rota. I’m wondering if drivers are still regularly going the wrong way... Maybe Mr. Bro...
