Re: Major Service Cuts, May 2022 !!

As a big supporter and user of bus travel in Worcester for nearly 40 years, I've finally given up and won't bother paying First's ridiculous fares anymore. I'm done with bus travel with First Worcester (I may use the LMS 24 now and again if convenient) but that's it. I now need to find a more cost e...

Re: Major Service Cuts, May 2022 !!

A far cry from when the Citibus 21 to Green Lane ran at 'frequent intervals' (and the 21A to Cornmeadows). Was just having a look through a old 1991 MRW timetable book. Ahh.... Memories!!

Re: Major Service Cuts, May 2022 !!

It really saddens me to say I have decided to totally give up with bus travel (by FIRST anyway in Worcestershire now. First ticket prices are a rip off considering the area and routes on offer. I will walk to town from now on or use the LMS 24 from Prestwich Ave if one is due when I go out. Luckily ...

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!

If the 37 is completely withdrawn, I would hope someone thinks to re-route the 36 up the Ombersley Rd and then Coombs Rd to at least serve part of Northwick. The 144 has the Droitwich Rd covered fine.

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!

According to the First Worcester forthcoming timetables section, looks like the 44 Worcester - Malvern loses its Sunday service. Earlier finish weekdays too I think.

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!

I catch the 144 quite a lot between Worcester and Longbridge. And I always find the 144 quite well loaded between Bromsgrove and Rubery and sometimes onto Birmingham too. Even though there is a frequent train service to Birmingham now, its not very attractive to a lot of Bromsgrove residents as the ...

Re: Ledbury services.

I've been using First Worcester's Ledbury area services for a few months now, mainly for work but a bit of leisure too. It always seems to be the same drivers on the routes. Just wondered, do Worcester garage have a separate 'Ledbury' drivers link for the Herefordshire contracts on the 405, 482, 600...

Re: 42892 and its replacement.

Sat on 43876 at Ledbury Memorial waiting to depart on the 13:10 675 to Great Malvern on 21st March. Just been for a ride round the 600 Ledbury Town Circular to kill a bit of time before it forms the 675. The usual rattly pointer body but sounded in good nick to be fair.
