Taking a look at the Bus Open Data held at https://data.bus-data.dft.gov.uk/timetable/dataset/2139/ and it still shows the 153 only runs on schooldays. This is the raw public access data that websites like Travel Line and bustimes.org use, and I downloaded it about 10-minutes ago so it's current. So...

I see the route number 144 does not appear on their City map, just the name "Saltroad".

The money from Central Government is very real, but will the Local Authorities engage with the bus operators to see where the money is most needed to make real improvements, or will they use it to buy votes with headline grabbing schemes that aren't needed?

That would have been 50453 and 50454, two of the ones that arrived from Scotland last week. The other was 50452 but that hasn’t been out in service yet, followed by another yesterday that stopped off in Birmingham on it’s was down to have the air conditioning fixed at a contractors.

Update to the above... The 15 buses due at Witney depot should have arrived in August but were delayed and are now expected in November 2024. Twelve buses from Witney are being cascaded to Bristol for use on Service 9 Park and Ride (won from First earlier this year), which needs low emissions buses ...
