Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
I was doing some work in Bromsgrove yesterday and made a point of popping over to bus station when a 144A was due. I saw 4 of the departures and all were quite well loaded when leaving the bus station. I also noticed a good 5 or 6 passengers transferring off the 144 onto the 144A each time too. Tal...

NXWM 1927 (BX10 ABO) Scania CK230UB at the stop opposite St. Chads Church in Rubery. Looks like the ‘Salt Road’ flags are still in place along the curtailed part of the 144, although WCC’s timetables are up at the stops. 2BE2622D-4D33-4899-B58A-A713839FF834.jpeg 5980F47E-AD96-4FC0-B110-2C3C4C0F5AAE....

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
Seen a few reports on twitter of early running on the new 144A ten minutes on the first day and five today hopefully this will be addressed :!: I’ve only seen one person mentioning early running on Twitter. Meanwhile the same person’s timeline suggests they are complaining about a lot of businesses...

Not brilliant quality due to poor light, but here is 69449 (WX59 BZC) ‘Ceres’ at Rubery - The final First bus to depart Birmingham city centre on the 144.

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
I think this is quite a statement on NXWM’s service update section… “The service will initially run up to every 70 minutes whilst we fully integrate it into our network and work with Worcester(shire) County Council on plans to operate a more frequent service.” https://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/servi...

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
I know this was a very short-notice contract and their commercial team have done wonders to get it ready in time, but I really hope that once the dust settles they can fix the 70-minute frequency as that is not going to work in the long run. I think the key part of the wording is “buses will run in...

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
The notices of the 144 curtailing have been put up…I noted this one at the Rubery Library stop, but it was also at St. Chad’s.
So it’s now over to Worcestershire County Council and (if applicable) TfWM.
