Re: Worcester's DD usage.

I was very pleased, this morning, to see the return to the S4 of double-decker operation ( - when there are enough of them, at least).

- Does anyone know what was used on the S45 this morning, please ?
- bmmoboy ? :)

...I think First really need to consider bringing in a couple 'NEWER' DD's to act as 'back-up's' for the current ones! (I'm sure DD12 will strongly agree! :D )
Or get 6015 back on the road and keep it! 🤣

Re: New round of disposals and transfers-out.

….. "Thorntons have not yet confirmed the dates for the remaining examples" (the Mercs). -- -- this implies that it's intended that we will still get all six of the older Mercs. IF so, that means we will have an intake of 19 vehicles (starting from October) :- 20370,71, 53041,53155, 53207,...

Re: New round of disposals and transfers-out.

Looking on the main website I see that 53041, (which is in urban 2 livery) has had quite a chequered history !

And, according to the ukbuses.co fleetlist, it still only has 22 seats !

New round of disposals and transfers-out.

After several months during which there were no disposals or transfers-out, from FMR, a new round has begun. These will be allowed by the recent service cuts, and the entry into service of 69460, and 53207 (due), and the Mercs, and, sooner or later, the completion of mods to the green Volvos. First'...

Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions

…… I'm wondering now if was applied by it's previous owner (?) , or, by FMR, because it could "mean" Engineering Spare ! After looking at pictures of the Citaro's that came from Bracknell depot, all the blue citaro's appear to have had two letters (for example ES) before the fleet ...

Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions

64033 was parked in the corner of the patch this evening and I was able to look at the rear end. Two things were note worthy -- -- The rear window looked a right mess (under the artificial light) as the previous "decoration" had not been removed adequately. -- it also featured two versions...

Re: DD12 Revival

Thanks very much Adam for the update and photo. Coincidentally, I've just received the November newsletter from the Transport Museum, Wythall, which confirms your report -- -- the window rubbers alone will cost £1,000 !! I've recently been to the museum and met Lloyd Penfold who is working on a Flee...
