Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
I see that several salt road bus stop signs have been removed from Stourbridge Road that is no longer served by the 144.Of the six that are no longer used four have been removed but two remain! The 52A calls at one of the remainers but also serves one that has gone so no bus stop sign at all  ...

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
I was a bit late for the Nationals, but certainly enjoyed the 144 more than most. If you had the right vehicle, the run down from Bromsgrove to Wychbold could see some pretty high speeds, although I suspect my priorities were a little different to others! The bit of dual carriageway between Lydiate...

https://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/servi ... d-may-2022 Confirms Daysaver tickets valid so £4 return Bromsgrove to Birmingham or anywhere you like for that matter Atleast that takes the sting out of having to change buses and slightly longer journey times.

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
Good news that you can use the full range of their tickets on the service.
Both the 144 and 144A will be routed Crabtree Lane and Broad Street then! Probably no bad thing as I went down the Stourbridge Road about 4.30pm yesterday and it was queued back past All Saints Road

Re: Revised Worcester - Reddich service 25/4/22
If I remember correctly 149 used to be Bromsgrove to Redditch via Lickey Alvechurch and Rowney Green in the 80's/90's think it was usually an S27. Just checked the history section and seems it was also Evesham to Redditch before that as seen in this rather tasty photograph :D 8-) http://midlandred.n...

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
There was a piece about the 144 on Central News last night including a ride on a Salt Road bus. They interviewed somebody from First who said the route between Bromsgrove and Birmingham was heavily loss making because passenger numbers had only returned to around 75% of pre Covid levels which begs th...
