Re: The 382 - Public meeting

If the bus service was being used I could be the first in line to fight to save it. If you cast your mind back 18-months when it was totally withdrawn by Astons I was pestering First to take it on. However, it is not being used, not even a little bit. Bus compaines are not charities and if they are ...

Re: BMMO Service 422 Question

Thanks for the extra information.

In that case, forget it! It was reported last night the amount of money the Government has to spend on buses has dropped from £100m two years ago to £37m for this year. That drop in budget has been felt very much by the local authorities.

Re: The 382 - Public meeting

Yes, I think someone mentioned it in passing and I was able to confirm it was true but forgot to post it up. Since the withdrawal was announced I have started to see a few people waiting for it, but that is clearly a case of too little too late.

Re: Service 420 - Knightsford Bridge bypass

Maybe bmmoboy could answer this as he used to work in the trade... Would that photograph still be on file with the newspaper? We have an exact date for when it was published so hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to trace. What sort of cost would it be? I'd be happy to pay a few pounds of my hard earn...

...USE IT OR LOSE IT, and while you're at it pay for it too because your taxes certainly don't... One of the other speakers, I can't remember who, used the phrase "Use it or lose it" and it was greeted with laughter from some, almost as if they believe it was being used as an idle threat....

Matt, What makes you think that?

33039 was parked there too until a few days ago, but it was re-registered yesterday as it's being reinstated for rail replacement work :o

Re: The 382 - Public meeting

No, although I would'nt know who to spot from Astons. I felt I was the youngest person in the room. All this talk of community transport drove me doo-lally What was the talk on Astons retaking the Saturday run ( or was I mis-hearing something ) Oh, there was me thinking I was the youngest person th...

Re: The 382 - Public meeting

I think it was rather odd that they invited Stagecoach at all when you concider how far away they are and the fact that it was local transport issues being talked about. If they were looking for a direct link to Birmingham, Gloucester or Coventry etc, then yes, talk to Stagecoach, but the dead milea...
