Re: Johnson sold to Diamond
Diamond have announced that "to assist Johnsons with some of their current operational difficulties", they are taking over operation of Johnsons' Redditch area services (54, 149, 150 and S83) from Monday 9th May The 150 is being shortened to Redditch - Kings Heath; Diamond still runs frequ...

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
Maybe this is the ideal opportunity for Worcestershire County County, in collaboration with First, NXWM and TfWM to produce a leaflet giving the times of the 144 and 144A, along with practical advice as to what is going on and where to connect to go to Birmingham or stages of the 144 if travelling ...

Re: Revised Worcester - Reddich service 25/4/22
Thanks DD12! The timetable was slightly changed again from today, 27 April. This post appeared on the Johnsons Excelbus Facebook page this morning: - We've listened to your feedback! Further changes have been made to our 149, 149S & 150 service. Effective from Wednesday 27th April 2022. The 149S...

Re: Revised Worcester - Reddich service 25/4/22
In my opinion there's something wrong with their new T-T in that it shows the 149S arriving Crowngate, Mon-Fri schooldays at 08.37, but it doesn't show a 149 arriving around the same time on NON - schooldays, Mon - Fri. However, it shows an 08.55 departure for Redditch, Mon- Fri regardless of shool...

Re: Revised Worcester - Reddich service 25/4/22
This follows a temporary timetable for the 150 from 11 April, which saw it split at Redditch and the Birmingham section reduced to every 2 hours. The 150 is now every 85 minutes (!) which seems to be in order to allow a 15-minute layover at each end. So ... Johnsons' Worcester - Birmingham service f...

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
I was luckier when I did probably my final trip on the northern part of the 144 on Monday. I travelled from Longbridge on the 0925 journey from Birmingham (joining about 15 people or so already on board). The link road to the A38 at the end of Rubery had a notice saying "road closed for 8 days ...

Re: Price cuts in Cornwall
Adam is right of course. That said, it's got to be good news for fare-paying regular passengers, and I hope that the positive news coverage does bring more people on board. I had a couple of days out on First Kernow buses back in 2019, and they were good. It will be interesting to see how much more ...

Re: Oxford Changes (2/2A/2B services)
Kidlington has been served by Midland Red buses since the X59 started back in 1976, so I'm OK with reporting on developments there! Actually, it's interesting to see that much (if not all) of the joint working in Oxford is coming to an end, so I assume that must suit Oxford Bus Company as well as St...

Re: Mansfield and Alfreton
I'm confident this was part of a Trent blind. The font was that used by Trent in the 1980s.
Derby (X12 and 625) and Nottingham (X99) were the furthest places that Midland Red buses reached in the north east direction.
