Re: "along the Salt Road" !
Adam - I was talking about the old days - when car drivers has some respect for other road users, even buses - and there were only about half the vehicles on the road compared with today - yes the really old days, the 1980s.

Re: "along the Salt Road" !
The running times were increased, I think when the first Covid restrictions took place. It now takes 1 hour 55 minutes each way, which is not really progress as in the 1980s we had 1 hour 32, with a few minutes added during peak hours. There was enough time to operate the service safely, and we only...

Re: Santa Bus
We've been trying to get 36241 or 2 painted into possibly NBC poppy red livery, with Severnlink logos. which would have been nice to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the splitting up of Midland Red. We'll keep trying.

Re: FMR services January 2022
Totally agree Tim - First seem to have this suicide plan - put prices up to get more money, but less people use the bus and the revenue stays the same - exactly the same philosophy at the 70's and 80's. What we need in Worcester is new ideas, making buses suit the passengers needs, not the sharehold...

Re: Mansfield and Alfreton
If they were Midland Red blinds, they would have the depot code on the left hand side of the blind. They are Trent blinds

Re: The BSIP !!
In the latest edition of Buses magazine, there is an article about Devon County Council and their ambitious plans. It all looks good on paper, with communities of over 500 receiving at least 4 buses a day, increased frequencies on all services, and night buses on some routes. But I ask this question...

Re: First Worcester fares increase
The single fares have not changed, and I don't think that returns are altered either. What is changing is some of the day tickets, some of which appear to be better value, instead of a return, there is a 2 trip ticket which is the same price as a return, meaning that you could purchase one of these ...

Re: The BSIP !!
£87 million - that would buy a lot of expensive bus shelters - with no buses to use them!!! Another thing - where are they going to find the drivers for all these new services - there aren't enough at the moment, and the situation is getting worse. Also Tim, the Sixways park and ride site with a bus...
