Re: Worcester's DD usage.

EARLY JANUARY ... some more of the X50 workings have been done by DD, -- in particular the 09.10 and the 14.10, from Crowngate -- -- I hope this is a permanent change !! Well the 09.10 only uses a DD occasionally, but the 14.10 is a regular that I look forward to using ! Today was the first use of ...

Re: "along the Salt Road" !

Apart from one, at 05.55 this morning, all northbound departures of 144s and 144As from Crowngate have been the Euro 6 Volvos. ...... The 05.55 from Crowngate to Bromsgrove, and back, was the ONLY DD used today on the 144 / A. ( ) ..... Just two, non-Euro 6 vehicles were inserted into the aft...

Re: "along the Salt Road" !

Apart from one, at 05.55 this morning, all northbound departures of 144s and 144As from Crowngate have been the Euro 6 Volvos. The MD has mentioned reliability problems due to pockets of congestion on the northern section, but surely, halving the frequency alone doesn't eliminate that problem (?) I ...

Worth posting here is a very recent article about the 144 reductions, - with the MD citing reliability problems caused by congestion.

Re: 2020 Arrivals and Disposals

I cannot remember any previous period when "things" were so volatile and unpredictable !!! "Things" being service changes, fares, expected vehicles in+out, - even ownership of FMR/WR !! There are too many negative articles appearing in / on "Worcester News" !! -- As for the Double-Decker intake, the...

I think it's appropriate to record here, some last-minute changes to the S45.

I hope the changes will lead to a double-decker being needed once again on the S45 !

Re: "along the Salt Road" !

Oh , and new timetables for the north and south departures in Bromsgrove bus station , interestingly , the bus to Brum does not run every hour , sometimes it is over an hour gap and sometimes it is less than an hour ? ! ? I know absolutely zero about scheduling and composing time tables but would i...

Re: Worcester's DD usage.

The latest service changes have also brought about some revised DD usage. Wednesday and Thursday have seen a DD on the PM S50 for the first time. (As it has done this duty by 15.30, I like the POTENTIAL of this vehicle being able to quickly cover for breakdowns of the S1, S3, S4, - along a route bac...

Re: WR's Coach Usage

My GUESS is that these two coaches are only being used this way until the end of the month, when the Salt Road service will shed a couple of buzzes (??)
