Yes, I think it probably is the Red Lion bus and coach station at Stratford. I like this photo for the faded "velvety red", and some Midland Red vehicles used to get a "nice patina" like this (just before a repaint). If Jeremy Corbyn wins the next election, I'm going to suggest he should repaint all buses into middling red. This photo appears to be slightly "odd" on my laptop, and I'm wondering if it's a print taken from a slide/ transparency (?) Also, it looks like someone has painted over the (black) wheel arches - (except for a bit under the driver's door).

The original photograph was in black and white. The colour was added at a much later date using photoshop by Mr Bird, who then sent it to the website. He also did the colour photo of the BMMO S1 that is on this site.
