Deregulation of Bus Services in England, Scotland and WalesShow All

On Sunday 26^th October 1986, bus services in England, Scotland and Wales (but not London) were deregulated. Midland Red (West) Limited made a large number of changes to services in all of their operating areas, and expanded into the Birmingham and Black Country area by re-opening Birmingham (Digbeth) depot.

• As part of a renumbering exercise in the Evesham area to avoid route number duplications with new services in the Birmingham and Black Country areas, Service 250, Service 251 and Service 271 (Worcester, Pershore and Evesham) are withdrawn and replaced by new Service 550, Service 551 and Service 571, running over the same routes with similar running times.
