Service 145: Timetable Changes

On Saturday 23rd November 1985, Midland Red (West) Limited replaced all Worcester City Local bus services (using “Wâ€-prefix route numbers, first introduced in 1928) with a new Worcester Citibus network of services operated with high-frequency Mercedes-Benz L608D minibuses. On the same date there are a number of significant service changes throughout the operating area.
- New timetable for Service 144 (Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Droitwich Spa and Worcester) with additional short-working journeys to give a 15-minute frequency between Worcester and Droitwich Spa when interworked with Service 141 and Service 145.
- Service 145 is extended past Bromsgrove to Aston Fields, Stoke Heath, Stoke Prior, Stoke Works, Wychbold, Droitwich Spa and Worcester. Certain journeys run via Rock Hill, not Aston Fields as new Service 141.
2nd January 1988
- Short-working Service 145 journeys between Bromsgrove and Longbridge Railway Station are renumbered to new Service 135, and rerouted in the Longbridge area.
- Service 145 journeys between Bromsgrove and Birmingham are rerouted to terminate in Birmingham Bull Ring Bus Station. All Sunday journeys are withdrawn.
