Hanson's of Wordsley t/a Hansons Local Bus has been acquired by Rotala and will presumably be integrated into the Diamond Bus business.

Rotala say that they are expecting to complete another acquisition of a privately owned company soon.

Yes, it'll be interesting to see which company the second acquisition turns out to be. The statement suggests that the combined new acquisitions will increase presence in the West Midlands and the North West. Presumably, Hansons increases the WM presence so the additional acquisition must be located somewhere within the North West region, close to the Atherton/Preston businesses or Blackpool outstation?

It'll be interesting to see as well what Rotala have bought with Hansons, as Tividale/Kidderminster depots offer scope to integrate services without acquiring the Lye depot, and some of the newer Enviro200's may well be leased.

Very interesting news. It will be a shame to see the Hansons name disappear.

Hansons "regular" bus YY15NHO working the 318 as usual this morning, only saw the bus from a way off so unable to check any change to the legal lettering.

Noted "NHO" on the 318 yesterday with Diamond fleet number and legal lettering.
