This photograph courtesy of Bob Hemming taken yesterday 19 March 2021, shows 33404 at the bottom of the patch - has the engine been fixed or has it been officially withdrawn?

It was fitted with a reconditioned engine a few weeks ago, but there were a few other parts to be fitted, then I was told that it would be towed to Essex when completed, so it must be assumed that it has been parked at the bottom of the patch awaiting a tow truck.

I am not back at work until a week on Thursday, so I don't have any updated information.

I wont be surprised if 33404 isn't replaced, but 33405 has been part of the active fleet in recent times, so I will be very disappointed if we don't get a DD to replace it.

- Saying that, - I don't want to see any more grubby old replacements !!

Photo on FB would suggest it arrived by suspended tow.

It would be nice to gain another two or three YOUNGER Gemini's (Or even StreetDeck's - Unlikely!) from somewhere to replace 33405 & the ever ageing 32066/7!

I would prefer Geminis rather than StreetDecks, I like to be able to move away from roundabouts much faster than a StreetDeck will. 32645 is super to drive, I haven't managed to get either of the other two yet, but I'm working on it.

33405 was working the 45 route yesterday morning but it is not showing on bustimes website today. Is it safe to assume that this bus went on suspended tow to Essex today (or yesterday afternoon even); if so where is the replacement?

Incidentally the yellow fronted Citaro 64030 doesn't appear to have moved since 19 March 2021 - any idea what is wrong with it?

33404 was officially unveiled in the Heritage livery on 15th October 2014, but a few days before that I managed to twist an arm or two and get these photos "for marketing purposes" on the patch.

Some have previously been published on here. All were taken by myself on 10th October 2014.

33405 is showing on Bustimes.org that it is at Hadleigh Depot but not in use.

As for 33404 she is in service but not for long before requiring a suspended tow back to Hadleigh from Southend -on -Sea Bus Station

The bus was unveiled on 15th October 1014 - I didn't think that you were that old Adam.
