Whilst waiting for a bus at St George's Square, Barbourne this morning I noted Potteries based Caetano bodied Dart 41502 (LK03 NLD) heading towards the City centre on suspended tow. Is it at Padmore Street for repairs?

Yes indeed.

I was about to post about its arrival but you beat me to it.

Also arrived is Dart 42893, which is being fitted with "Worcester" fleet names as I type. They are the wrong style but never mind!

We also have a Potteries Volvo at Worcester for engine work. That arrived earlier in the week but I still haven't noted which one it is.

If it is keeping the blue front, I imagine that the "old" style Worcester names could look quite good on it ! (?)

Could look a bit like this...

Looks rather dull and uninspired if you ask me. Worcester's pink or purple or whatever colour it is looks much better.

Yep 45102 has come over to us for another engine. Unfortunately it also needs engine mounts, a new turbo and nobody at Stoke noticed that the gearbox was only hanging in by 2 bolts instead of the usual 12. This has resulted in the gearbox case becoming detached from its bell housing and the box is ruined.

42893 is now a Worcester bus and was swapped for 67647 after it came back from its mot test. After a first use inspection it's now off the road awaiting lots of repairs.....

The visiting Volvo is 66964. She's here for an engine rebuild but I'm trying to fit it in between other engine swaps and covering other colleagues shifts, so she may be here for a bit.

Thanks for all your updates ,always good to hear how things go behind the scenes . . . . I remember many years ago in my old job, the mechanic telling me a [non- HGV ] truck had been brought in with the driver saying the brake were a " bit spongy ", err . . . on inspection , the disc brake pads were none existent and the "brackets" that should just hold the pads in place were the only parts of metal coming into contact with the actual discs. Needless to say , everything had to be replaced.
