At least one of the two brand new Enviro 400 double deckers has arrived at Redditch depot and is in dealer white. These two vehicles are to replace the former Johnson's Optare deckers from Redditch which are heading for Diamond North West to run TfGM school services. of the two former Johnson vehicles 40844 YJ70 EWD has been out of service since October awaiting a new engine so will more than likely not head north until the new engine is fitted

I think the engines in the two Optare deckers is the same Mercedes / Daimler as is fitted in StreetDecks (???) and if so, it has done even less well in the Optares !!
