Thanks bmmoboy for the notification of removal of lettering relating to the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, I was wondering why it was still on the bus when Her Majesty died - it was a sad reminder that she only lived a very short time after celebrating Her Jubilee milestone.

I suppose First Bus were in the invidious position of being 'damned if they did and damned if they didn't remove it'; though leaving it until now makes for a fresh start with the new year.

As 47518 carries Royal colours, perhaps it will be the vehicle for some lettering to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III on 6 May 2023?

Now that's a good idea - knowing the speed that First work at, it will probably get updated lettering in June, the month after the Coronation!!!!!

PS Some companies amended their commemorative vehicles to take account of the Queens death.
