Are any up yet ??
IF not, I could be cynical and say perhaps too few people are using "the Fifties" to bother with it -- but just before Xmas a member of my family tried to catch a "small bus" on the 52/53/54 on the Bath Road, but it wouldn't stop because it was chock-a-bloc full !

None of the new bus stop flags are up yet. All of the 50s are carded for a single-deck bus like everything else, they get swapped around a bit. Earlier in the week 67662 decided it didn't want to go to Birmingham so my Volvo was taken off me for that and I did an X50 in a Solo. Luckily it was an off-peak journey so it wasn't too busy.

I believe that the flags for the Fifties, and also for the 144s, have arrived and the person responsible for fitting them is trying to arrange a few days off from driving so that he can fit them. He has more bus shelter signs for Crowngate to fit, but needs a couple of days to do it.

This is true. I think he has also requested a new ladder...

I hope the correct Health & Safety training has been carried out and full competency achieved, risk assessments and method statements produced before he is issued with such a dangerous implement

A few changes are to be expected to "the 50s" in March. These have not been registered yet so are subject to change if somebody somewhere changes their mind. Or someone has a better idea!
The main change will be the Service 52 route which will be the same as now between Worcester and Drakes Broughton (so that's Bath Road, Norton and Littleworth), but it will then revert to the old 551 route for the rest of the journey to Evesham. It is hoped this will be less confusing for passengers (and drivers) and also improve reliability. I ran the 1250 from Worcester yesterday and the 1050 today and was 15 and 12 minutes late back... And I don't hang around!
The 53 will not change, but expect the 1833 from Pershore to Worcester to run as a Service 54 because it currently runs at almost the same times as a 51. That is kinda pointless so they are being split up.
The S51 was mentioned too, but I can't remember why!
Assuming these take place, the change will be on Saturday 24th March.

If in doubt, flat out!
