I travelled on the 423 a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday at lunchtime (i.e. the same day of the week and about the same time the bonus trip ran when MRW had it) and there were only two passengers.

The information on the application is incorrect, as the 31 has not operated to the Royal Hospital for several years, and the 31U was a short lived night-time service. This has probably been done to try and get a further subsidy from the Council.

Having driven many times over the past few weeks on the 31A, I will not be surprised if this is discontinued, as I have only had two passengers use the bus stops on the Comer Road/Laugherne Road section.

bmmoboy may be replying to a post I put on very briefly, but there was a glitch (my end) so now it's gone ! -- --
Someone on the wmbusphotos forum has posted that First have notified the authorities that they will cancel the 31 / 31A (no further info yet).

Astons have announced on Facebook that they are finishing their operation of the 294 / 296 and S15, - from 20/6/22, and someone else has posted that DIAMOND have been given the work --
I have put this information here because there is the prospect that Diamond MIGHT be going to do some workings along the 31 / 31A routes -- ???

The Diamond advance warning said that the 303 route would be amended from 24/07/22.

On a post on the Wyre Forest Bus Users Facebook page Simon Dunn advised that:

The 303 is being re-routed to cover the 37 service. We are hopeful this will improve its viability. at the same time in the short term Worcestershire County Council have provided some funding. We need to see how the next few months go.

I have very little confidence in the WCC Public Transport department.

Recently, when Droitwich Road outside the new Lidl was closed for 48 hours from Friday evening until Sunday evening, the council suggested that northbound buses travel via Checketts Lane, Ombersley Road, The Northern Link road, and down the slip road to re-join the normal route on the A38 near The Grange, so that Dilmore Road would be served, and southbound would be in reverse. WHAT SLIP ROAD????? What hope for any bus services in the future if the Public Transport department don't know the road layouts.

Incidentally, the route used was via the Northern Link but using Hurst Lane into Fernhill Heath, thus missing out a section of around 2 miles, and the busiest bus stop at DIlmore Lane.
