Will some of the 'Salt Road' Volvo's retain there livery & stick to working the shortened section 144, or is the brand being scrapped altogether does anyone know?

There are some changes coming up to the fleet at Worcester.

Firstly, the 6669x Plaxton Volvos are leaving, destination unknown, however the one with seat belts will be staying.
Am I correct in saying 66696-9 are the ones with seat belts? If that is the case, will it only be 66691-5 departing?

I would say staying as some that I have seen have now got Catshill on the route branding

Only ONE of the 6669X batch will be remaining, don't know which one it is yet, but will probably be the best condition one.

One thing that really infuriates me, is why bus companies and particularly First, mess about with route branding buses at significant cost for virtual no gain, especially in places like Worcester where they are the operator with virtually zero competition. The Riverside 31 livery was a waste of time. Nobody even cares about The Salt Road, It means nothing to people because everyone knows the famous 144 route. It's the same with Nimrod on the 35.Yes I get the loose Elgar connection but what a waste of money and time when you are the only operator on the route.

Sorry to sound so negative but this annoys me. Companies spout on about lack of investment and available money but then waste it on daft liveries that nobody cares about. I doesn't increase patronage where the incumbent is the only operator on the route.

Again, apologies for the rant but couldn't keep that in any longer.

I couldn't agree more - all passengers want is a bus to turn up on time, warm in the winter and cool in summer, to feel safe and have a comfortable journey, they couldn't give a s**t what colour the bus is. In fact, it causes more confusion to passengers as they don't know what colour is going to turn up so they don't know what they are looking for!

Interesting , so Worcester's "new" E200's could be 44511/4/5 ? :o And maybe a couple of old d/d's thrown in for good measure . . . . . . .
