FMR services January 2022

"Forthcoming services" are now showing on the First Worcestershire website.

I've had a quick look through the Worcestershire timetables and haven't spotted any significant changes, - - the 363 isn't shown in the "forthcoming list", but that might just mean it's unchanged (?)
I don't know the Herefordshire timetables well enough to spot any changes.

I have just spotted that the current 363 timetable shows "until January 7th", which is around 5 days after the new T-Ts come in, so I guess that's why it's not included in the "Forthcoming" section (yet).

The 363 timetable has now been added, albeit with the recent Monday extension to Tewkesbury REMOVED !!

The only other service cut I've spotted is the 17.17 (M-F) Crowngate departure of the 32 (schooldays only) - which leaves a one hour gap in the service to St.Peters -- normally I would rant and rage about this, but with the latest coronavirus surge, and shortage of drivers, perhaps we still haven't reached the starting point for "Building Back Better" !!

Has anyone else spotted any other cuts, please ??

Hopefully the new bus graph from January will help reduce the number of journeys being cancelled on a daily basis due to the driver shortage (?)

Are you sure? I’ve got the 363 timetables printed and sat on my desk ready to go out.

Presumably someone at First has put incomplete info in the Forthcoming Timetables section ( ?? )

The bus stop timetables are printed using information in the registrations so maybe First intend to withdraw it but have made a mistake or forgotten to update the registration for the Gloucestershire section. I will do some digging next time I’m in the office.

At GCC County Hall at the moment. Yes, the 363 will no longer run to Tewkesbury but that change is from 8th January and everything else in the area is changing on 2nd January, and that is what was printed.

I know I am a grumbling old fogey, but the 09-25 37 service from Green Lane to Crowngate has been moved to 09-28 STILL TOO EARLY TO USE OAP PASS which is infuriating! Why was it not timed for 09-30 or even given a note that concessionary passes are valid from Northwick Green, the bus will probably still run empty until it reaches the Northwick Cinema or Barbourne even. Many moons ago at a meeting with the MD I said that as the 10 trip ticket could no longer be obtained from the driver and was only available using a mobile phone APP, could OAP's be given a pre-09-30 special one-trip City single fare equivalent to the then £1-50? He said the company were already doing something similar in Stoke-on-Trent and he would consider it for Worcester, but it never happened. £2-90 for 2.5 miles is not cheap and a bar to using early morning buses, especially as the car is much more convenient using my blue disabled badge to park in the city centre!

Totally agree Tim - First seem to have this suicide plan - put prices up to get more money, but less people use the bus and the revenue stays the same - exactly the same philosophy at the 70's and 80's. What we need in Worcester is new ideas, making buses suit the passengers needs, not the shareholders wishes. I doubt if this will happen under the present management!
