Midland Bristolian steam charter 30 Oct. 2021.

Vintage Trains Charter ran today Saturday 30 October 2021 from Tyseley to Derby and then to Bristol with return trip this evening. LMS Pacific 6233 'Duchess of Sutherland' is seen working the Derby to Bristol leg via Bredicot at an express pace. A brisk westerly wind was blowing the steam exhaust across from left to right obscuring most of the train, but a record of the event nonetheless.
CrossCountry HST 43285 and 43357 are seen working a very long distance train about 10 minutes ahead of the steam charter. It departed Edinburgh at 06-06 am and due to arrive in Plymouth at 14-48 pm a journey of 564 miles, not bad for a 43 year old train!
