101 was on display yesterday at Snibston Colliery Park to celebrate Coalville bus garage's 100th birthday!

Clearly a lot of work to be done but the new owners seemed very enthusiastic

I see it's listed as an entry to this weekends rally at Quorn and according to the list is down to be in service :?: Nothing on the owning groups website as of yet though.

Great to see 101 looking in much better condition than when it was in the ownership of Ian Mack. Historically 101 was one of the first production Nationals and there are detailed differences especially internally to this vehicle than other production Nationals . It would have been a shame if it had gone for scrap after MRW did everything to preserve it. When the vehicle came out of normal service with MRW and after its brief loan to Western National the plan was to donate it to the Wythall Bus Museum. However MRW had just merged with Badgerline and this was blocked and so it became a driver trainer to stop it going for scrap.
